*CREDITS* This object is a remix of the work of Zorglups: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4253593 The original model comes from the Fablab ULB http://fablab-ulb.be https://fablab-ulb.gitlab.io/projects/coronavirus/protective-face-shields/#modeles-de-masques-et-tutoriels Another visor model in these times of Covid-19... Some features (in a nutshell): -Lightweight: 10g. -Flexible: thanks to its thinness (arches of 0.8mm). -Durable: thanks to its flexibility, it deforms instead of breaking. -Usable with glasses. -Face shield attachment: with pins or by sliding into a slot. -Head retention system: two nested elastic bands (attachement at hooks) or a length of flat sewing elastic (attachement at buckle). - Filament (PLA 1.75mm): 2m for the model with pins, 2.5m for the model with a slot. -Rapid printing: because little filament is consumed... -Print in stacks: just adjust the number of elements in the stack in the file. No cleaning required during unstacking: thanks to the absence of separation material between layers it's enough to "tear" the pieces, just remove the brim on the lowest one. All adaptations (choice of face shield attachment, elastic band attachment, elastic width, ...) are made by changing constants (commented) at the beginning of the file, no need to touch the code. -... *VERSIONS* 4.9 2020-05-11 -Corrected a bug in the generation of the lower surface of stacked pieces -Organized variables for Openscad Customizer 4.8 2020-05-08 -Removed selection of "basic" or "hull" profile, finally unnecessary, the "hull" profile prints faster (fewer direction changes). -Simplification of code using "mirror" in Openscad to generate branches and hooks. -Added third type of hook suggested by Zorglups, an assembly of buckle and round hooks. -BEGIN testing a new lower surface profile, in the shape of a trapezoid whose dimensions are calculated based on the nozzle to avoid material support generation. It should be easy to break during stacked prints. Due to health authority recommendations, internal arch adjustment is not recommended. 4.7 2020-05-04 -Totally corrected the problem of piece positioning. Rather subtle but actually very simple, it was necessary to reason about the placement of the central axis of the pieces and not a corner, all rotations and translations become exact. 4.6 2020-05-04 -The lower surface of the piece in contact with the bed is now flat for better adhesion, the following are rounded for easier separation. 4.5 2020-05-03 -Much changed to correct errors in arches and branch placement (see comments in Scad file). -Reintroduction of brims and bridges removed by error in previous versions. -No more auto-corrected errors during loading in Slic3r or PrusaSlicer. 4.4 2020-05-02 -The slicing of stacks of more than 4 visors was incorrect, it seems to be fixed. -Complete rewriting of arch generation, simpler and with correction of calculation errors. -Renaming and normalization of many variable/constants names 4.3 2020-04-30 -Remix of Zorglups' model https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4253593
