The V-Ray render and materials are utilized exclusively within 3ds max and FBX files. All textures assigned to a material for use in FBX scenes are stored within the master maxzip file. As such, manual reapplication of these textures is required for versions of FBX, OBJ, 3DS, DXF, and DWG files. Furthermore, all textures pertinent to the scene are centralized within the root directory.
