Head of Vishnu in grey sandstone crowned by a high cylindrical mitre called kiritamukuta. The serene face has a wide forehead and almond-shaped eyes revealing the pupils. The ears with the typical wide pendants and the fleshy lips highlighted by a thin moustache are part of the pre-Angkorian style. The mitre, which shows a soberness characteristic of the Phnom Da style of Vishnus of the 6th to 8thcenturies, sits on the temples in the form of a bracket. The earlobes present a rectilinear depression for receiving, as was the custom in the pre-Angkorian statuary, encrusted with gold or precious stones. On the neck, incised lines symbolize beauty.
