This is most evident in his commissioning of Angkor Wat, the world's largest religious structure, which he dedicated to Vishnu. The parallels drawn between Vishnu and the ruling kings of Angkor are striking. Often depicted as a king, Vishnu played a significant role in their rule. Other notable avatars of Vishnu include Krishna and Rama from Hindu epics like the Mahabharata and Ramayana. In these stories, Vishnu's avatars consistently take on a savior-like role, restoring balance to the universe through their actions.
