So when the Montana mask came out, I ordered filters from a company in Montana and really like them - they're square and made of a material similar to surgical masks. The method used to secure them to the Montana mask didn't sit well with me. I downloaded and printed several different types of masks, but they started making them thinner and quicker to print. Unfortunately, I snapped a few along the print lines just squeezing too hard. So I used Tinker Cad to re-mix a couple of designs to get a mask that suited my needs. First, I liked this mask body, but once again, I didn't care for the way the filter attached. COVID-19 MASK (Easy-to-print, no support, filter required) by lafactoria3d on Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4225667 Step 1: I took this mask body and shrunk it to various sizes that I call Child - 99 mm chin to top of nose, Small - 106 mm chin to top of nose, Medium - 116 mm chin to top of nose, Large - 132 mm chin to top of nose. Second, I loved the screw-on nose of this mask but didn't care for the thinner walls of the mask. Covid Mask Respirator - 3D Printable COVID-19 (Corona virus) on Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4245757 Step 2: I cut the screw-on portion off of this mask and re-mixed the cap to make it slightly sturdier on the cap and made the ring that clamps the filter slightly smaller to clamp my square filters better. Step 3: I used Tinker Cad to put the same size nose on the front of all four masks. Step 4: I went to Home Depot and found some good peel-and-stick rubber weather seal to go around the inside of the mask to help with comfort and a little better seal. I then went around the inside edge of the weather seal and superglued it in place with Gorilla Super Glue because I knew the peel-and-stick would not hold. And this particular nose was designed by the original maker to use round makeup pads. I think we'll probably be wearing masks for a while, and I wanted something that I felt was strong and would last. I'm wiping it down with Clorox wipes after each use because that's really the most reasonable way I can figure out how to sanitize it.
