An autostereogram tricks the eye into seeing a three-dimensional image from a normal two-dimensional one. Look up 'autostereogram' or 'magic eye' for more details online. I wondered if you can make a 3D printed autostereogram. This proof shows it's possible and works fine. :-) If you print this thing in two different colors by pausing at 1 mm height and changing filament, you'll get a usable stereogram. It's optimized for viewing from 25 - 30 cm. Note: Not everyone can see hidden objects in autostereograms. If unsure, download an arbitrary one first and try to see it on your monitor.
