Virpil CM2 Throttle Idle & Adjustable Afterburner Detent mod
thingiverse
Remix of ConTrollR (https://www.thingiverse.com/ConTrollR)'s excellent throttle mod for Virpil CM2, with the following changes: designed to use M3 nuts bedded into hex-shaped sockets (rather than threading the plastic) designed to have a detent on the way up into Afterburner but not on the way back designed to have this AB detent be adjustable in case different planes have different AB engagement positions altered design of the idle lock (aesthetic only) I recommend you read his documentation as he has good pictures of the bit inside the throttle where you ensure the two screws holding the main arc down engage with the cable-tie stand-offs - you need to do the same here. Video of operation here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sxbOIIpT9Yw For longevity this design uses metal strips bedded into the detent collar piece, for this I used the metal strips I took off the same pen I used to get the springs. These were budget pens, pack of 10 from local supermarket. You may need to adjust the parts to suit whatever pen strip you're able to find. STEP file of the whole assembly included here to help with that. Finally, thanks shout-out must also go to Gubernator (https://www.thingiverse.com/gubernator46) as I used his assembly step file for dimensioning and figuring out all my arcs/clearances, parts of his assembly for the Virpil unit appear in my assembly file for that reason.
