Viper remote start key fob holder
thingiverse
I have an old Jeep Wrangler that also has a viper alarm/remote start installed. The key fob for the remote start broke off of my keychain a while ago and I always misplace it. Today I decided to design and print a snug holder for the key fob and it turned out pretty good on my first try. I actually came up with a pretty handy way to design the case to fit the curves of the remote without having to do a lot of measuring. I'm detailing my design process from beginning to end and publishing all the details on my blog here http://bencbond.com/2016/12/3d-printed-viper-remote-start-key-fob-holder/. This is for the viper model: RPN 7142V. Print Settings: Printer: Hatchbox Alpha Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.08 Infill: 100% Notes: This is a pretty simple piece and I'm sure the settings can be changed some to speed up the print. How I Designed This: Design workflow I came up with a pretty cool workflow to design this part.
