violin sound post hook
thingiverse
If your sound post fell out, print this out and you can put it back in through the "S" holes. You HAVE to have a small tweezer to work with (that can fit in the hole), or it'll not work. Please don't attempt to do this unless you know the basics of the operation, because we don't want a violin-cide. Watch a tutorial beforehand so you don't destroy it. If there are professionals, I would love you to comment below on how it feels in comparison to the real thing. There are 3 files: Stl, 3dm, and gcode. If you are using pla that's not so brittle (I used SunLu), then you don't have to do any adjustments. However, if you aren't, just pull out the Stl or 3dm file and tweak it, with the horizontal(x-axis) dimensions at 57.15mm. Remember to size it up or down depending on the shrinkage percentage provided by your filament! I set mine at a wall-thickness of 3 layers and 100% infill to make sure it does not break easily. In my gcode file I already made it slightly tilted on the bed to make it stronger, since diagonal prints break less easily than vertical for the pipping shape.
