A quick violin practice mute was created by me to overcome the loud-violin-in-dorm-with-many-roommates issue using only fifteen minutes in Google SketchUp. Though its top is slightly messy, it can be improved by printing right side up. The default support settings weren't sufficient for the top's proper printing orientation; however, support is essential. My first attempt without support resulted in a blob. The Printrbot Plus (v1) with Repetier was used for printing.
