I'm designing a simple and fast setup for a holder of a 1/2 size violin bow with a 5mm diameter for the peg part. The frog's notch is typically 6mm in diameter. This holder attaches to a music stand's bottom lip, clipping or slotting into place. The width of the slot should be about 2mm. I'm considering adding a knob at the end of the pokey part, but so far, I haven't had any concerns that the bow might fall off or get knocked off the stand. A standard 4/4 violin bow has an 8mm notch in the frog. Scaling up this project, even just one dimension - ideally the width - could give a bit more stability on the music stand.
