Violette Reine Elizabeth Szabo GC (née Bushell; born June 26, 1921 – killed in action approximately February 5, 1945) was a French-born British Special Operations Executive agent during the Second World War and a posthumous George Cross recipient. On her second mission into occupied France, Szabo led the charge before being captured by the German army, subjected to intense interrogation and brutal torture, then deported to Ravensbrück concentration camp in Germany, where she made the ultimate sacrifice.
