Vinyl soffit j channel attachment v3
thingiverse
A 2 piece clip system when placed together create a non-permanent way to hang year around pixel lights, mounted in J-channel, to the eaves (soffit actually I guess) of your house. The attachment created when the two pieces are slide together snaps into the groove of your vinyl soffit. I wanted something that could be printed fast and without support that performed 3 functions: 1. Would hold the J-channel with pixel lights to the soffits of the house 2. Would support the loaded J-channel from sagging under the weight of the system 3. Could be attached to the J-channel on the ground and not fall off when on the ladder installing the light system. Inspiration came from FishingSETX's "Amazon Blink Camera Mount for Vinyl Siding" (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4163845). However the attachment was not the correct shape for my soffit. Versions: V3: - Switched to Fusion 360 - Redrawn based off v2 from Tinker CAD - Combined both LH and RH into one file - Added radius at all sharp corners to reduce the legs from breaking off - Removed embossed Version number - STL uploaded, Fusion360 files need to be pulled off another computer next week. V2: Can be found at (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5170797) - Used for my permanent year around light system - Tinker CAD models included
