# Cusomizable vinyl / record stabilizer Based on a model by @aaronnbon21 and further modifications by @Bushcaddy, this is a parameterised version which has a few interesting updates for use with any material as a weight. - You can choose the height and diameter of the model - You can choose the thickness of the base, and the lid - You can choose from pre-selected list of coins as weights - You can enter your own custom weights, eg you could use washers or other circular weights, you enter the diameter, thickness and weight (I suggest for thickness/weight, that you measure 10 in a batch and then divide the result to get a more accurate number) The model will then - Automatically create a model of the size you selected - Automatically put the coin "columns" in the right place - Automatically create a tight fitting lid - Automatically insert as many columns as possible in the space - Automatically print on the model in non-visible locations, the number of coins/weights you need and what the total weight of the coins will be (total final weight will also include the weight of the print, approx 80g extra) In addition - Chamfers on record spindle hole, base, lid, and tight fitting column are auto generated - You can specify the spindle hole size - You can print a test ring that is auto generated to check the fit, and adjust the Coin Fit Wiggle Room parameter as required, that way you don't need to use scaling in your slicer, which has other unwanted effects - You can select wall thickness to try to get as much weight into a small footprint as you can Note: it is possible to select values that won't work or make sense, so check your model before printing. You can separate the parts (in PrusaSlicr I use split to object, or split to parts to do this), to print in any order/method you like Possible further improvements could be to: - Not force the bottom chamfer to be the same as the bottom floor height - Not force the lid chamfer to be 45 deg - Enable concentric rings for anyone using smaller coins or washers #Resulting Weight Different weights make a difference, the default settings with the preset list of coins have the following results - 1 US cent (I think Canadian is the same) = 315g - 1 EU cent = 331g - 2 EU cent = 391g - 5 EU cent = 376g - 1 UK penny = 573g
