Vinyl Cutter Adaptor for Prusa I3
thingiverse
This accessory enables the support of a "roland vinyl cutter" to be attached directly to the extruder of my prusa i3 printer. A small program that can be obtained from https://github.com/alvaroalea/hpgl2gcode, allows for the conversion of HPGL code from inkscape's "inkcut V.10" plugin into gcode for the printer. Support a sheet of vinyl on the bed of the printer by placing a cut pad between the glass and the vinyl, then manually move the blade to the lower left area of the vinyl, touching it carefully. Fire the gcode and enjoy your new vinyl sticker immediately. WIP: I am still working on finalizing the gcode translator, but in the future, I hope to also convert HPGL code from eagle so you can draw a PCB to use the ink-acid method for engraving. An adapter for a pen is included with this accessory. Printer Settings: Printer Brand: Prusa Printer Model: Prusa Steel Rafts: Not Required Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm Nozzle, 0.4mm Resolution Infill: 20-30% Infill Density
