Vinyl Cover Wall Mount
thingiverse
A lightweight vinyl cover attachment that can be mounted directly to your wall, secure and easy to install. Two of these small mounts are all it takes, held firmly in place by double-sided tape - a reliable solution for even the most delicate of vinyl covers. If you're unsure about the strength of the bond, try printing the longer model with its extra 20mm contact surface for improved adhesion. Note that if your print has flared edges, leaving an uneven adhesion area, simply apply more tape to build up a thicker layer or file it flat before installing. For added security, you can even drive a nail through it. The part itself is remarkably strong with a 20% infill and a .8mm wall thickness, and could likely be printed thinner, but I'm satisfied with the initial print quality so haven't made any adjustments. If you prefer to screw your vinyl cover attachment to the wall instead of using tape, a countersunk bore can easily be added - although I believe it's unnecessary. Printing one wall mount takes around half an hour at 40mm/s on my Wanhao Duplicator i3. If you'd like any changes or have specific requests, feel free to message me or leave a comment below.
