Vinyl Ap Roller
thingiverse
Application Roller Stand I received a broken Vinyl Cutter a few years ago which I have long since fixed but due to not having a stand haven't been able to use it. After several calls to the company finally was informed they no longer made my stand but I could use a Application Roller and sit the cutter on a table. Well Application Rollers are between 30 and 80 USD and well Wood, PLA, PVC, 1/4-20 Bolts, and Superglue are CHEAP! (AND I had them all laying around) So now you know how we got here, here's what you need to know. All these parts were designed to fit 1/2" SCH 80 PVC ***They will not work on SCH40*** it's not rigid enough anyhow. Max length before the SCH80 starts to flex to much is 36" for the roller length if you using full rolls of vinyl. (I plan to redesign the roller end to fit a metal pipe at a later date) Metal Roller Update!!! It's here like you couldn't have done this yourself though you silly goose! If your bard wobble it's likely due to the Bolt you use I found that Stainless Steel 1/4-20 are a lil better since they are machined typically. You will need 4x Standard Skateboard/Inline Skate Bearings (22mm x 7mm x 8mm) 4x 1/4" 20 x 1-1/4" Hex Bolts !***Stainless Steel***! 1x 1/2" x ?SCH 80 PVC pipe -------------- ? is whatever length you need I cut 1x 1x6x? Pine/Oak/etc.... board ---------- mine to 26" because I typically use 24" rolls Super Glue, JB weld or whatever glue you prefer! Now for the print list 8x Spacers (100% Infill) 4x Roller Ends (20% Infill) 2x Ap Roller (20% Infill 75%Support *Raft to avoid elephant foot) See images for assembly though it's pretty straight forward! Also Currently working on a Design for a universal Vinyl Plotter/Cutter stand stay Tuned!
