Vintage Spanner

Vintage Spanner

thingiverse

This vintage-inspired design was created from a classic spanner model that the YouTube channel "Hand Tool Rescue" produced reproductions of. As an experiment, I decided to see if it's possible to make a 3D printable version. ***Please note: This replica has significantly less strength than its metal or solid plastic counterpart, and attempting to use it as an actual spanner will likely result in the threaded section snapping clean in half. You can enhance its durability by increasing infill and wall count, but it's primarily a proof of concept...*** To print my version, I used settings at 0.2mm layer height (lowering the layer height should improve the thread quality) and 25% infill. Only the Top-Jaw section requires support material - depending on your printing approach - while the other two parts can be printed without it and still yield decent results.
