I Designed a Fun Project for My Dad, a Miniature Ford Model T Replica. The model is based on the classic Ford Model T but it's not an exact replica and not to any specific scale. It measures about 150mm in length and is designed to fit onto a track with 36mm between the inner surfaces of the two rails. This makes it compatible with most of my other rail-mounted models. To complete the project, you'll need a few non-printed items. These include fine wire for the stays from the front of the canopy to the headlight supports, ice-block sticks for the wooden crate on the back, Ø4mm dowel for the axles and locator pins, Ø3mm dowel (or kebab stick) for the steering wheel column, thin clear plastic sheet for the windscreen, relatively thick wire for the canopy frame, tissue paper for the canopy, and heavy insulated wire to model some pipes running from the front to the back. The model files are all in the format "Vintage_RailCarv6-Blahblahblahx2.stl," with the last part being the number of pieces you'll need to print. Expect a large pile of pieces by the end of your printing session, but none require support. Some may benefit from some work with a craft knife or file where overhangs may droop for the first layer. Assembly instructions are included in a pdf download. Have fun! If you're looking for tracks to display it on, check out these parametric track models. You'll need to set the track gauge to 36mm and sleeper length to 58mm to be compatible with this model. * Standard Straight Track: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3400628 * Standard Curve Track: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3400642 * OS-Railway Straight Track: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3400784 * OS-Railway Curved Track: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3400779
