I needed a special gift for my friend who loves vintage stuff over the holidays. I got an idea to build a miniature bank vault that reminded me of the ones my grandfather used to make. The doors are usually small, measuring 5 inches by 3 5/8 inches, and can be bought from Corbin or Ranco for around $10 to $20 on eBay or Etsy, depending on the style and quality. To build it, you'll also need four 1/2 inch screws and four 1 1/2 inch screws.
