This custom lens housing is optimized for "Auto-TAKUMAR 35mm f/3.5" Manufactured in the 60s and 70s, the Takuma 35mm f/3.5 has several versions on the market. The Auto-takumar 35mm f3.5 is an early version and a very small interchangeable SLR lens (M42 mount). Please refer to the link below for the detailed specifications of this lens. https://www.pentaxforums.com/lensreviews/S-M-C-Super-Auto-Takumar-35mm-F3.5.html Since the M42 mount has a shorter flange back distance than the PL mount, it is difficult to expect normal focusing by attaching it to the PL mount camera with the usual extension adapter method. However, since the inner diameter of the PL mount is 53mm, it can be changed to allow normal focusing by designing to overlap the rear part of the M42 mount lens. The Helios 44-2 58mm f/2 is a prime example. However, smaller M42 lenses with a lens circumference of 53mm or less are less common. Since the Auto-Takumar 35mm f3.5 is a very small lens, it could be retrofitted to the PL mount method with simple modifications. Of course, it was difficult to reliably fix the PL mount unit, and it had to be designed in a different way than the regular M42-PL mount conversion adapter. Due to the positional problem of the lens aperture ring, there is a structural limitation in that the aperture operation is located inside the PL mount. Because it is a relatively small lens, it is designed as a compact lens re-housing with a different size from the vintage lens re-housing that I personally stick to. In order to precisely set the infinity focus, precise adjustments are required during the housing assembly process. To fix the housing you will need a grub screw (M4x4mm) and a 46mm filter.
