Vintage Hitachi 1980 Portable TV - Old & Damaged
sketchfab
This is an aged Portable Television crafted by Hitochi in nineteen eighty. I have deliberately misspelled Hitochi to avoid any potential copyright issues. It was modeled and rendered in three-dimensional space using 3ds Max, with the subsequent textures applied utilizing Substance Painter. I meticulously textured this model closely resembling the original design, taking into consideration slight topological differences. The initial modeling process was guided by the "Quick Start to Modeling in... Vol 4" course. Subsequently, I independently undertook the task of UV mapping the entire model and then texturing it within Substance Painter. During the UV mapping phase, I noticed a substantial amount of extraneous geometry that remained hidden and unused throughout the model. Consequently, I eliminated all unnecessary geometry, effectively reducing the polygon count by approximately sixty-five thousand polygons. The primary reason for this significant number of polys lies in the instructor's decision to utilize turbosmooth during the modeling process, as opposed to OpenSubdiv. This particular variant exhibits signs of wear and tear, bearing a resemblance to an item one might stumble upon in a post-apocalyptic world or discarded in the trash. Its appearance clearly reflects a history of better days. [Model Statistics] Polys: 196,120 Tris: 392,240 Verts: 201,743
