Vintage Canon Camera - High Rez

A high-resolution model of a vintage Canon AE-1 was created specifically for use as a normal map in a game resolution asset. To achieve this, several updates were made to the original design. The initial update focused on smoothing and modeling the 3D geometry, which included adding an aperture ring behind the lens glass. This enhancement aimed to create a more realistic representation of the camera's intricate details. The second update addressed intersecting geometry issues by incorporating bevels into the model. Additionally, specific parts were remodeled, primarily on the top left section of the camera, to ensure accuracy and precision. This project serves as a work-in-progress for my first portfolio piece, demonstrating my skills in creating detailed 3D models for various applications.
