If you're reviving an original Star Trek setup, then this design might be worth your attention.\r\n\r\nI crafted this mesh based on a black and white photo of Spock modifying equipment under and behind his science console. The mesh grill was fully exposed in the picture. I estimated its dimensions by comparing it with his fingers and known measurements from a tricorder prop also visible in the image. Unfortunately, I've lost the original photo (I should have saved it!). The only images that clearly depict this mesh come from fan-made versions, but they used a different design. This is as accurate a recreation of the original as possible, though perhaps not as robust.\r\n\r\nFocus on quality rather than speed when printing. Use ABS instead of PLA for a strong finish. Note that the outer edge of the mesh is only half as wide as other areas due to its intended use in conjunction with other panels, which will produce the correct width when assembled, as evident in the photos accompanying this design.
