Vine Coffee Scoop

Vine Coffee Scoop

Make a unique coffee scoop/tamper using passion flower vines as an alternative to a plain one. Inspired by Hawaiian coffee, passion flower vines were twisted to create a handle and coiled into a circle for the tamper. Photographs of these elements were uploaded to 123D Catch for 3D printing. Close-up shots with plenty of detail were taken before uploading. The resulting model was scaled, edited, and assembled. Afterwards, it went through cloud.netfabb.com for cleanup. Printed in PLA with support, the texture was rough where the support was. ABS with a thicker shell is planned for the next attempt, allowing for smoothing using an acetone/ABS mix. The finished model and a split version are provided.
