As a creative person, I'm always eager to pursue new interests outside of the studio. For me, one of those passions is riding bicycles! I still remember the Giro d'Italia in 2016, when Vincenzo Nibali made his incredible comeback by topping the last mountain stage with help from Michele Scarponi's excellent support team. Inspired by this victory, I felt compelled to create a tribute sculpture - a life-sized bust of Nibali triumphantly holding up the winner's trophy! However, I didn't end up sharing it with the world at that time because of various commitments and my own doubts about whether the piece was truly complete. Now that cycling season 2018 has officially begun, I'm feeling bolder and have finally decided to showcase my 2016 tribute sculpture - an enduring celebration of Nibali's Giro d'Italia victory! Forza Squa!
