I was searching for a quality replica of the Lombardi Trophy to customize into a fantasy football award for my league, but nothing online met my expectations. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and create one myself. After finding a picture with precise dimensions of the real trophy, I used it as a blueprint for my model. To make printing easier, I separated the ball into two distinct parts. Once printed, simply assemble the pieces by gluing them together and sliding the ball onto its base. I chose to print mine in silver PLA, but fine sanding paper and filler helped smooth out any imperfections. Multiple coats of chrome spray paint gave it a sleek finish.
