Viltrox L116T - Microphone Boom mount.
thingiverse
Adam Savage recently built a setup on Tested using the Viltrox L116T - DSLR Studio LED. This affordable light costs approximately €25 and can be powered by either a battery or 12v 1,5A adapter (Note: initially stated 2A but verified to function correctly with lab power, drawing a maximum of 1,3A). Adam paired the Viltrox L116T with an "Microphone Suspension Scissor Arm" from Neewer, priced at around €15. To connect the two components, he designed a custom attachment mount that converts the Flash/trypod mount of the light to the Microphone arm. The attachment is secured in place by three M2 bolts and nuts, featuring rings for added stability. Adam plans to utilize this setup primarily for Painting Miniatures and providing additional lighting in his "electronics lab", which currently appears to be a bit disorganized. He hopes that this project will inspire viewers with creative ideas and serve as a valuable learning experience.
