Villain-Me (Hero-Me's evil brother)
thingiverse
The Hero-Slayer Fan Duct is here, and it's a sinister twist on the Hero-Me cooling system. The notorious Hero-Me has been found wanting in its ability to chill the Hotend adequately for printing PETG, prompting a complete overhaul of the base and part-cooling assembly to create a more printer-friendly design that should also improve hotend cooling. A critical modification at the rear of the hotend cooling duct involves adding ducts to allow hot air to escape freely, rather than relying on the fan to push in air with nowhere to go. This update is still a work in progress and not yet finalized; however, it's already 100% functional and will continue to receive minor tweaks without major changes. Important note: users of the Ender 3 Pro with a 4010 Fan must remove thin plastic walls near screw holes for proper fitment within the duct. For optimal installation, utilize the mounting bracket from Hero-Me kits designed for ABL or non-ABL systems. The Hero-Slayer Fan Duct is compatible with MicroSwiss All Metal-Hotend, although it may require some careful maneuvering due to a snug fit. Added components on May 13th, 2020: * Mounts for an 18 mm ABL sensor, requiring at least one M3 screw with a minimum length of 14 mm.
