I'm proud to showcase my final uni project, a low poly character with hand painted textures that bears an uncanny resemblance to ourselves. The character seamlessly fits into our medieval village, taking on the profession we chose when we designed our village homes earlier. This is the first time I've modeled, textured, rigged, and animated a 3D character from scratch, so there are certainly areas for improvement, but overall, I'm thrilled with how it turned out! Budget: I aimed for an efficient 8k tris count for the character model, while also creating high-quality 1024x1024 texture sheets to bring the character to life. The software I used includes industry-standard tools like 3ds Max and Photoshop CC, which allowed me to achieve a professional-looking result despite being a beginner in the field.
