Viking Themed Chess Set

Viking Themed Chess Set

thingiverse

I am creating a chess set for our CAD class that showcases my design skills. Our sets had to have a theme, so we chose Vikings as the basis for our designs. The king and queen are Viking helmets with a sword-in-the-stone, symbolizing power and protection. The knight is a battle-axe, representing strength and agility. The rook is a Viking ship, embodying resilience and navigation. The bishop is a Viking shield, signifying defense and courage. The pawn is a single Viking helmet, representing simplicity and stealth. Pictures of my design will be posted soon. Print Settings: I used the LulzBot TAZ 5 printer to bring this design to life. I opted not to use rafts, as they are not necessary for this project. However, supports were required to ensure the structural integrity of the pieces. In fact, supports are a crucial aspect of this print job, and they will be needed to achieve optimal results. Design Process: I designed this chess set using Autodesk Inventor, leveraging its capabilities to create intricate and detailed models. By utilizing Inventor's tools and features, I was able to bring my Viking-themed design to life in 3D.
