Viking ship
thingiverse
This Viking ship originates from a naval drawing dating back to the 1800s. Research Visit http://www.khm.uio.no/besok-oss/vikingskipshuset/ for more information. Process The first step was to create frames using Adobe Illustrator. Next, I cut out the boat design using a CNC router. Construction The sides of the boat were built with Aircraft Plywood and Basswood. Scale Model A full-size replica measures 1200mm in length. Design Software I imported the frames into Autodesk Fusion, where I created a digital model for prototyping various components. File Formats STL versions are available for large-scale printing, allowing for easy scaling. Illustrator files can be used to cut out the design on a router or laser cutter.
