Viking's Wind Visualisation

The noticeable changes in weather patterns have a significant impact on our analyzed site. By harnessing the power of digital design and performance analysis, we can craft an optimal architectural shape that perfectly complements the site's unique wind behavior. We conducted an exhaustive test of numerous shapes using Kangaroo's wind tool component, each one carefully evaluated for its potential to withstand the elements. One promising shape emerged from the simulation data, with a distinct negative space that informed our design decisions. We then utilized Grasshopper to create a series of curves based on the captured flow lines, further refining the shape into a cohesive and aerodynamic form. To bring this concept to life, we employed the pipe tool in Kangaroo to generate a solid object, which serves as the foundation for our final augmented virtual model.
