Viking Inspired Armour and Weapons
thingiverse
Viking and Norse inspired items. A Helmet, Axe, Spear, and Seax Knife. All designs use symbols culled from the Mjolnir, Thor's hammer by oskartoon. The axe handle end piece uses the wolf head from oskartoon as well. Other than those, the items are all my own design. The helmet prints in multiple pieces, with the main shell sized to fit on an Ender 3(235x235) with it turning at 30-45 degrees. You will need 29 of the rivets and the visor is entirely optional. The axe head prints in two halves. The center hole is a tight fit on a piece of 1" PVC pipe at 100% scaling. The butt piece should fit just loosely, and the top fill piece fits into the axe head itself. The spear has not been printed yet, but it's sized again for 1" PVC pipe. I suggest using a 6-8 foot long piece, lightly sanded, and then marked randomly with red and green permanent marker. Follow up with a brushing with a chip brush soaked in acetone to create a cool wood tone. The Seax is a multipart item with two options for the handle and a sheath that's designed to be worn from a belt at the back in traditional style. I do this for the joy of it, but times are tough. Throw me a beer if you like and enjoy. Please post makes as well; I would really love to see how others finish these off.
