Commemorative statuette to the history of the Vietnam War pilots, where American heroes achieved great feats aboard HUEY helicopters. The conflict grew out of the First Indochina War (1946-1954), in which French colonial troops fought against the Communist-led Viet Minh in French Indochina. Most of the funding for the French war effort was provided by the United States with its experienced pilots.
