Vierge du Lac in Lausanne, Switzerland
myminifactory
The artist Vincent Adrien Robert Kesserling commissioned a block of pristine white marble to be placed on the shores of Lake Leman in 1987. For two years, he worked tirelessly in plain sight, crafting his masterpiece - the Lady of the Lake - as curious passersby marveled at the unfolding spectacle. This dataset was carefully collected and refined by students enrolled in Prof. Mark Pauly's Digital 3D Geometry Course at EPFL's School of Computer and Communication Sciences in Switzerland. For further information, please visit http://lgg.epfl.ch/statues. The Lady of the Lake is a featured work within "Scan The World," a non-profit initiative launched by MyMiniFactory to create a comprehensive digital repository of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks, and landmarks from around the globe.
