I designed this mount to work seamlessly with my range of 808 cameras that I have on hand. This results in a robust protective mount that's built to withstand the rigors of flight. The mount is engineered to be screwed directly onto the rocket using small tapered screws, and its curvature ensures a snug fit for most body tubes. To further secure it in place, I recommend applying good double stick tape along the edges of the mount, combined with the screws. The thicker 808 cameras (15mm) snap into position easily without requiring any additional containment, but the thinner ones (13mm) need to be secured using small nylon zip ties. Removing the video from the camera necessitates taking out the camera itself from the mount. I initially considered adding an opening for the USB port(s), but ultimately decided against it due to the multitude of different cable types that would be required to accommodate them. In Version 2, I incorporated a slot on the base that enables you to temporarily attach the mount to your air frame using a large nylon zip tie. However, please note that if you look at the image, I inadvertently over-tightened this mount without adequate support, resulting in slight plastic damage. To avoid this issue, I suggest applying double stick tape to compensate for the curve of the body tube and avoiding over-tightening. In V3, I reinforced the nylon slot at the base and added an opening for the USB port, eliminating the need to remove the camera from the mount to access the video or charge it. You may want to cover this opening with tape before flight to minimize the risk of debris entering the mount should the file be corrupted.
