Video Monitor Mount
thingiverse
I'm currently upgrading my video equipment, so I added a video monitor to my camera tripod. However, the mounting arm adapter wouldn't fit onto the tripod legs because of their substantial size. What I required was a spacer that could clamp securely onto one of the tripod legs featuring a "D" shape. Using Design Spark Mechanical (a great SW), I designed the part and it works flawlessly. Instructions Only one piece is included in the stl file. I imported it into CURA, then duplicated it. Using the mirror function on the second object, I instructed CURA to make a mirror image of it on the X axis. This method produces a precise mirror image of your original design. It's definitely worth trying if you need to create duplicate parts that are mirror images of each other. The stl was printed with PLA using .2mm layers and 25% infill, while securing the piece together with 3mm screws and nuts.
