Video light power adapter for Sony batteries with cooling

I purchased this affordable yet highly effective light, realizing that I didn't have a compatible Sony camcorder battery. An old laptop power supply serves as the ideal power source. The power supply delivers 6 amps at 15 volts, which is then channeled through a DC-DC step down converter and an old 80mm fan. I repurposed the old laptop's power adapter connection socket to make this conversion seamless. The connection holes are deliberately kept small to allow for easy adaptation to existing screws, which I used in conjunction with the PC's slot covers. To establish secure connections, I employed wire end sleeves that I drilled to 2.9mm in diameter. Please note that the battery lock has been removed, so be cautious not to accidentally dislodge the adapter when using it overhead. This versatile adapter may also be compatible with other video lights designed for use with Sony batteries.
