Video Control System for Creality
thingiverse
This is the video system I have prepared to control my 3D printer from outside the room where the printer is located. ActionCam and iPhone are mounted on V-slots on both sides of the printer, ensuring the bed movement is avoided. I have grouped parts for each device into a zip file: 1.- ActionCam mount: Access to live video via WiFi through iSmart DV from my iPhone or iPad. My camera is NK ActionCam 1080P WIFI, which I bought for around $45. Parts to print: a) 2020 GOPRO Mount GIRO, a remix from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2736754 GoPro Mount | HYPERCUBE by PurchenZuPoden b) Case1, Case2, and Head1 from 3 DOF Axis Change Connector (Modular Mounting System) by rdescartes (no need to print Head2) https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2358873 c) Arm_v3_Reverse_90 and M5_knob_short_v4 (3 units) from Modular Mounting System by yyh1002 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2194278 You can use different lengths of arms –or no arm at all-. If the part to print uses most of the printing bed, take care to avoid camera collision with the part, so use a short arm, raise the arm or use no arm in these cases. Other parts: • Tripod mount adapter (most probably included with your ActionCam) • 3 x bolts M5 x 20 hexagonal head • 3 x M5 cap nuts • 2 x M4 bolts x 8 Phillips head • 2 x M4 hammer head nuts M4, for 2020 aluminum extrusion profile 2.- iPhone mount: I use an old iPhone 5C as camera. Access through Presence app http://www.presencepro.com/, a free app that you can control from your iPhone, iPad, Mac or PC via internet http://www.presencepro.com/, (Free, registration needed). Good app, some 6 seconds delay. I have connected the printer with a Smart socket, so I check the printing process via Presence and I can switch-off the printer when I am out of my house if the part is completed or if there is any problem via Google Home. Parts to print: a) As per 1. a) b) As per 1.b) c) As per 1.c) d) iPhone_Gopro, from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:273360 Other parts: • 3 x bolts M5 x 20 hexagonal head • 3 x cap nuts • 2 x M4 bolts x 8 Phillips head • 2 x M4 hammer head nuts M4, for 2020 aluminum extrusion profile 3.- Samsung Galaxy Young 2 mount: I use an old Samsung to control printer screen. You can use DroidCam app in the Smartphone and PC. I fixed the mount focusing the printer display, so I can check bed temperature and axis position. Parts to print: a) Socle_Gopro and denver_gopro_base_rev0 from iPhone stand by victor44 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2767559. These two parts were included with my ActionCam b) Case1, Case2, Head1, and Head2 from 3 DOF Axis Change Connector (Modular Mounting System) by rdescartes https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2358873 c) Arm_v3_60 or Arm_v3_90 and M5_knob_short_v4 (3 units) from Modular Mounting System by yyh1002 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2194278. d) Samsung mount, a remix from Samsung galaxy young 2 case by gokoen https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:861023.
