Victranox Knife Block
thingiverse
I have some unused space in my knife drawer that usually catches a few tossed-in Victrano knives. I wanted to see if I could create a knife block to make things look better, hold the knives properly. My drawer is 6 5/8" wide (a home depot pre-made). This is my second revision. My first try lifted the knives up about 3/4" too high so the drawer wouldn't close. I made one more revision to shorten up the section for the knife blade. Now, the Victrano knives can slide all the way down into the block and fit well in the drawer. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Robo 3D Printer: R1 ABS + PLA Model Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: .3 mm Infill: 20% Notes: I might be able to make this hollow to save filament, but I think the extra weight is good in a knife block. I printed it in Raspberry scented PLA because it came with the printer and what else am I going to do with it? How I Designed This: I built this in Tinkercad. It's only my second thing that I've built myself. Getting the outside dimension for the drawer was easy. Getting the spacing and angle right for the knives was trial and error. Fortunately, I only had to print once to figure out where adjustments were needed. My second print is now installed and in use.
