Victorian Dollhouse Bay Window

Victorian Dollhouse Bay Window

I've had an antique Dollhouse Kit collecting dust for ages, never completed due to my lack of dedication. The lower floor was severely lacking, with many missing widow parts. My search only yielded one pane out of the two bay windows that were supposed to adorn it. I'm determined to finish this project as faithfully as possible to its original design. Since I don't possess the necessary tools or materials to craft new wooden components from scratch, I decided to model the remaining window assembly and print it using my trusty Prusa MK2S 3D printer. These meticulously designed windows function flawlessly, with the bottom pane sliding up to open them. To give them an authentic look, I carefully cut thin plastic sheets into clear panes that fit perfectly inside the frames. The real challenge was capturing the texture and feel of wood, which is why I opted for printing with wood fill filament and Polywood – both choices helped me get as close to the original as humanly possible. I'll be sure to post plenty of photos once I have a chance to display my handiwork in all its glory.
