Victoria Miniatures Matilda battle tank turret magnet jig
prusaprinters
The VictoriaMiniatures Matilda battle tank has insets for magnets in the turret base and sponsons but none for the turret weapons. This is a jig for centering drill holes in the turret and weapons so the magnets in each align to the other. One side is a jig for the turret and the other is for the weapons. Instructions: Print the jig. Insert jig into turret. Push a 1mm drill bit through the hole and drill enough to establish a foothold for a larger drill bit. Remove the jig and use a drill bit that matches your magnets to drill a hole deep enough to hold it. I opted for 4mm x 2mm cylindrical N52 magnets and so used a 4mm drill bit. Put a weapon into the jig and use the 1mm drill bit to mark the center. Repeat 3 and 4 for each weapon. Glue in some magnets. Make sure to get the polarity right! Have fun.
