Victor Bourgeois (August 29, 1897 – July 24, 1962) was a renowned Belgian architect and urban planner, widely regarded as the greatest modernist architect in Belgium's history. Born in Charleroi, Bourgeois pursued his education at the prestigious Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts in Brussels from 1914 to 1918. He was fortunate enough to be mentored by Henry van de Velde, a prominent figure in the world of architecture. In collaboration with his brother Pierre Bourgeois, Victor founded several influential magazines, including the notable publication "7 Arts" (1922-1928). This marked the beginning of their remarkable journey together as architects and innovators. In 1927, Bourgeois made history by becoming the only Belgian architect invited to design a house for the prestigious Weissenhof Estate exhibition in Stuttgart. The following year, he played a pivotal role as a delegate at the first meeting of the Congrès International d'Architecture Moderne and was honored with a founding membership in that esteemed organization. Sadly, Victor Bourgeois passed away on July 24, 1962, in Ixelles. This exceptional object is part of "Scan The World," a groundbreaking initiative launched by MyMiniFactory.
