Victony Smartphone Camera Lens Case

For Christmas I was given a really cool Macro/Wide Angle camera lens for my smartphone. You know, the kind that clips over your phone's camera and helps you take better shots. With all the 3D printing I do, I really need this Macro lens. The kit comes with a small draw-string bag that I didn't like. So I took the holiday weekend to make something more "fitting". I had many initial prototypes but the fit was either too tight or the case was wonky looking or too bulky. I finally settled on this "coffin" shape that looked nice, wasn't too bulky and still managed to keep all the parts of the lens set from bumping around. Lens can be found here:https://www.amazon.com/VICTONY-Professional-Special-Diameter-Thread/dp/B01EUVYU1O/ref=sr_1_3 Videos of print: https://youtu.be/FpZAa6Ui9xs https://youtu.be/CPtAlYa9thI Print Settings Printer Brand: SeeMeCNC Printer: Rostock MAX v2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill: 20-30% Notes: The tolerances on this case and hinges are very tight! Make sure you print this on decent settings. If your printer is out of calibration, it will show in this print. You may need to sand some edges around the hinges to get it to fit to your liking. Print bottom and top parts facing up. No need for rafts or supports just make sure you get a good first layer stuck to your bed. Printed in PLA, if you intend to print with something that shrinks more, you might have a hard time with the fittings. Slots on front of bottom and top shell fit a 2 x 8 mm magnet for keeping the case closed. Just push them in there and secure with super glue if needed. Post-Printing Assembly 1 - 2 inch #6-32 machine screw 1 - #6-32 nylon lock nut 3 - #6-32 washers approx. 11/32 in diameter 2 - 8 x 2 mm magnets (strong ones!) You want a washer on both ends of the bolt but MOST importantly, you want one between the two hinges. This is how the part was designed so it won't fit right otherwise, but the middle washer allows the hinges to open smoothly without the printed layers catching on each side. Don't over tighten, you want that nylon lock washer to be stuck, but not tight. If you have to labor to open the lid, it's too tight. The hinges should swing freely.
