Vic Rattlehead

This has been my first ever serious project in sculpting. This has been a project for a friend. He suggested me to produce this THING as a gift for birthday. I did use original Megadeth LP cover for reference but did not try to follow exact shape and look. This has been created for 3D print specifically. Printed model has been sanded here and there to get rid of print imperfections. Whole model was then post processed using basic modelling skills. First all elements had a acetone bath followed by two layers of liquid putty. After all dried elements were painted with surfacer for better surface quality. Everything has been painted by airbrush, including basic shadowing and toning methods. The paint was desert tan color and deriving shades. I also used basic brown wash to highlight details. For metal parts I used Alclad aluminum paints. Rust has been aplied using pigments and washes dedicated to replicate rust effects. After painting and washing all parts were secured with satin varnish. The inside of the scull has been covered with thin layer of Milliput to ensure more durable finish.
