<figure class="media"><oembed url="https://youtu.be/9FRmb_zcnDk"></oembed></figure><p>This vibrator unit for vibraphone consists of flexible printed (TPC or TPU) valves for installation on a 6mm shaft and bearing housings and bearing support rings made of TPC.</p><p>An M3 thread is drilled into each of the 4 shafts d=6 mm made of aluminum or steel at one end.</p><p>First, the coupling flaps (KM3 and KW3) are pushed onto the shafts (0.1 to 0.2 mm undersize of the bores) and two ring magnets north and two ring magnets south are screwed to the coupling flaps and the magnet (M3-8 countersunk screw).</p><p><a href="https://www.magnet-shop.net/neodym/ringmagnete/ringmagnet-10.0-x-3.4-x-3.0-mm-n42-nickel-mit-senkung-nord">https://www.magnet-shop.net/neodym/ringmagnete/ringmagnet-10.0-x-3.4-x-3.0-mm-n42-nickel-mit-senkung-nord</a></p><p><a href="https://www.magnet-shop.net/neodym/ringmagnete/ringmagnet-10.0-x-3.4-x-3.0-mm-n42-nickel-mit-senkung-sued">https://www.magnet-shop.net/neodym/ringmagnete/ringmagnet-10.0-x-3.4-x-3.0-mm-n42-nickel-mit-senkung-sued</a></p><p>The bearing units are preassembled by first inserting the bearing support ring into the bearing inner ring. Then the bearing housing is mounted over the bearing outer ring. Two ring magnets are screwed into the bearing housings using an M3 countersunk head screw and nut.</p><p>The mating magnets must be mounted on the resonance tube holders using a suitable fixture.</p><p><a href="https://www.kugellager-express.de/rillenkugellager-6800-2rs-61800-2rs-10x19x5-mm">https://www.kugellager-express.de/rillenkugellager-6800-2rs-61800-2rs-10x19x5-mm</a></p><p>The valves are then slid on, with the pre-assembled bearing units in between at the appropriate position.</p><p>The last elements to be slid on are handwheels and the pulleys.</p><p>I use the following NEMA 17 motor as the drive per unit:<br>Wantai 42BYGHW811</p><p>It also worked with NEMA 14 motors, but they were too loud for me.</p>
