Vibration/Noise reducing shoes/feet for Replicator 2/2X
thingiverse
Initially, we observed that our Replicator2 shook excessively on its desk during direction changes whilst printing at regular speed. To resolve this issue, we designed special 'shoes' for the printer to reduce vibrations. After replacing the standard shoes with ours, shaking was significantly reduced and noise levels decreased notably. This simple upgrade is worthwhile as it lessens noise by half and could enhance print quality and reliability due to less plate vibration. To install, first print four shoes at medium settings with 10% infill. Then attach anti-slip pads or felt surface savers on them, followed by securing the shoes to the replicator using eight M3 10mm screws while lifted up, ensuring no damage to the coated surface. Enjoy your quieter and more reliable printer!
