Vibration Isolator Mold - Medium Duty - Customizable

You might have heard about my incredible discovery when attempting to cast ordinary cheap household silicone. If you didn't, it's simple: adding artist acrylic paint to cheap household silicone will set it to a lovely spongy silicone in 45 minutes! I call this stuff Silicheap. The beauty of it is that you can colour it any color you like with the acrylic paint. I've made injection molds for both the original light duty 26mm OD version and this medium duty 40mm OD version. I get a unique sense of satisfaction when the little 1mm vent hole squirts out some Silicheap to let me know the mold is full. I've created a quick DIY video here: https://youtu.be/mUMptvG8adE. You can also check out my original Light Duty versions video, which goes into much more detail about measurements and process here: https://youtu.be/0iZ8L1HDubY. My original design dampener was for lightweight dampening but I needed some beefier dampeners so I made the Medium Duty Vibration Isolator. You could put them to use too! There is a size that fits both 10mm & 3/8 nuts and bolts, and another size that fits 6mm or 1/4-20 nuts and bolts. This new design casts the Silicheap separately and then you place whichever combination you like onto it. You can choose from male to female versions, male to male versions, female to female versions, or one-sided options with a nut or bolt on the other side for ultra-grippy vibration-absorbing feet for things like your printer. I made some in lovely blue-colored paint though I demolded it after 15 minutes. It's best to leave the Silicheap in the mold for at least 45 minutes. Once de-molded, then you need to let it fully cure overnight until you can barely smell the silicone's characteristic vinegar smell. I've added my original Light Duty Silicheap feet video as a reference as I go into more details about mixing measurements for all detail-oriented makers out there! You can check it out here: https://youtu.be/0iZ8L1HDubY. I really love this squishy stuff and I'm planning on using it in upcoming projects! If you make these dampeners, I'd love to see how you use them so please share a make? You can check out my other designs here: https://www.thingiverse.com/ScottyMakesStuff/designs.
