Vibration Isolating Silicone Dampers
thingiverse
Revamped STL files include tabs for easy disassembly. These molds are designed for casting vibration dampers used in multi-rotor applications, particularly for building QAV400 and ADS-400Q models. The mold proves useful in those cases. You'll need M3 6mm (or 8mm for thicker plates) hex bolts and washers. Glue M3 washers to the bolt heads using CA for better silicone adhesion. Before casting, apply a release agent (hair spray works if you have a 3D printer). After curing, attach an M4 washer to the shoulder of the part with CA, and you'll have vibration dampers. Use a two-part silicone casting material with a Shore A durometer of 30. Inject silicone with a 20ML disposable syringe and let it cure. Trim excess using sharp scissors, and enjoy your casted parts!
